First Look: A Second Glance 2025

Each year, the jurying process for First Look presents us with the immense challenge of narrowing down a multitude of inspiring submissions to an exhibition featuring just five artists. This task often means saying goodbye to exceptional work that resonates deeply with us. To navigate this selection process, we introduced First Look: A Second Glance, an online-only exhibition that highlights the standout submissions that, while not included in the final exhibition, truly stuck with us.
This year marks a special occasion for First Look: A Second Glance, as we transform this concept into the inaugural show for The Wall, a new gallery space located within Panopticon Gallery. The Wall will feature small scale unframed print exhibitons that rotate on a regular basis, allowing for a fresh and engaging interaction with diverse works of art.
Through First Look: A Second Glance, we aim to celebrate creativity and foster a dialogue around the wonderful submissions that reflect the talent of the photographic community. We hope you enjoy our selections. Thank you to all of the artists that shared their work with us.
